This part of Holland exudes an atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The North Sea beaches, which are known as the most beautiful and widest in the Netherlands, offer ample opportunity for recreation at any time of the year. The dunes behind the beach with the many bird colonies and walking and cycling paths form a unique backdrop to relax in the healthy North-Holland air.
Tourist routes
There is also a lot to do outside the beach life. From the North Sea to the Ijsselmeer (lake), the landscape is very varied and interesting. Colourful flower fields and green meadows alternate and make a stay unforgettable, again and again. Idyllically located villages and historic places such as Alkmaar, Hoorn and Enkhuizen have a lot to offer the visitor. All sights can be easily explored by bike or car via well-marked tourist routes.
Everything close by
In the immediate vicinity of Bungalowpark Dirkshoeve you can swim in the outdoor swimming pool (400m), canoe in the canoe pond (400m) and surf and fish on the nearby lake (500m). Several golf courses are located nearby, including an 18-hole golf course in Dirkshorn. At 8 km south of the village is the recreational area Geestmerambacht (lake) where you can swim, surf, walk and cycle. Nearby Schagen (5 km) offers extensive shopping and entertainment options with many good restaurants and cozy cafes, as well as the cities of Alkmaar (15 km), Haarlem (50 km) and of course Amsterdam (55 km).
